Not so much 🐸 ....sitting like @meddyteddy to c

Not so much 🐸 ....sitting like @meddyteddy to center and ground myself before an exciting day of work. Breathing in and out my only focus is following my breath.... one hand on my belly the other on my chest (my anchor spot). Not concerned about to-do lists or meal prepping.... yet. First, we must breathe. 💨

Between the crystals and the oils I am in my element and am zenned out ☮️ Making gifts is totally my love language but especially ones where I can share some oils and rituals to help someone however they need it. Or just to make them a delicious perfume or body scrub. 🧖🏼‍♀️

Today’s @calm meditation was spot on what I needed today. Developing your practice cannot be focused on the outcome— bc in doing so we miss out on developing our technique. So much of mindfulness takes us out of our “regular” thinking bc we must step away from comparing ourselves to others and their mindfulness journey. We have to disconnect with the outcomes we have so feverishly read about in the media! And that is HARD, especially when you have been practicing for years! But we must see every day as a fresh slate and stay true to what we know— meet each sit without judgment or expectation. Be here, now. Observe and breathe. Disconnect.

Today @calm reminded me to take my ego out of my practice and brought me back to basics.

Having this view forces you to stop and just sit with your breath.... in..... and out .... feeling the breeze across your face and shoulders, sipping your hot coffee ☕️ slowly, your eyes quietly search the far off peaks as they rise and fall in the distance... it looks like a painting.... hear the rapid flutter of the humming birds wings in your ear, say good morning as they drink from the flowers next to you and then hover so delicately in front of you... continue sipping your coffee and breathing your breath..... slow and steady
